For me, Thread Faction's patterns fall squarely in that group of designers 😊<br />
<br />
I would like to show off the latest adult pattern, #203 Sports Skort. It has some really cute options like: a flounce skirt, a flat skirt od a pleated skirt. You can add a super cute and very functional zippered pocket to the back yoke (or leave it off) and the shorts come in two inseam lengths.<br />
<br />

<br />
Unfortunately, I've recently reinjured my foot, so my plan to take action shots whilst running hasn't really worked out. Instead, here I am in all my yoga stretching glory 😁<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMhXwezYxrium6r_QlvTuBbVKCS3Drdw1z-e-BEbx4GO1d4SnbHX2MK8wM4PbIc7exUg8rnF4HIRPXoFSOF9hM8jNeqtD7D29fZvURuV5__rVVYUiHi0J7_44i05kk9_JqsALGf5BLi32O/s1600/20190228_103225.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMhXwezYxrium6r_QlvTuBbVKCS3Drdw1z-e-BEbx4GO1d4SnbHX2MK8wM4PbIc7exUg8rnF4HIRPXoFSOF9hM8jNeqtD7D29fZvURuV5__rVVYUiHi0J7_44i05kk9_JqsALGf5BLi32O/s320/20190228_103225.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the first skort I've ever made for myself, but I can see several more of them rapidly appearing in my wardrobe! They are really comfortable and I think the pleated back (view E) is so flattering for my backside 😎<br />
<br />
Thread Faction also has a cute girls version that was released a couple of months ago. I'm all about the mummy and me matching clothes phenomenon but I haven't had time to sew up a matching one for any of my three daughters yet.<br />
<br />
The Sports Skort is on sale for a limited time. You can purchase it here:<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi all!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
How great are blog tours? Its so fantastic to see everyone's take on the same pattern, and to see which beautiful fabrics they've paired.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm super excited by the collaboration between Thread Faction and The Material Girl Australia! What a fantastic opportunity for two inspiring women to come together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As always, Missy Rose (from The Material Girl Australia) had a rather large representation in my fabric stash, so it was difficult to know which one to choose. My amazing Husband did a fantastic job in picking out these two and I think they work really well together.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my darling middle daughter, Esperance. She's learning the whole toilet training gig, and was SO excited that I had made her cute undies and a matching singlet. She loved them so much, she wore them to bed that night (with a nappy underneath, because we are definitely NOT night toilet trained!) :D</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This was a super-quick sew! I have a 3 week old baby, so time is at a premium these days. Even with interruptions (baby needed a feed/kids were apparently STARVING...) it still only took me an hour, start to finish!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKJbgJFmPb29RdfIbM73q2tvEh1eGoWFZz79S6438LCaCw7k1kMPYAGhrtEU9L4l3kir9-1Xe6CWA-q59xCSf4_gCE-QY3dMRqQnPD1wetm5DNdxCBbJ3ueXq9qye2eZTKj-Gqd2ts_Y15/s1600/20180916_175904.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="646" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKJbgJFmPb29RdfIbM73q2tvEh1eGoWFZz79S6438LCaCw7k1kMPYAGhrtEU9L4l3kir9-1Xe6CWA-q59xCSf4_gCE-QY3dMRqQnPD1wetm5DNdxCBbJ3ueXq9qye2eZTKj-Gqd2ts_Y15/s320/20180916_175904.jpg" width="129" /></a></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The fit is spot on! I am not awesome (yet) at bindings, but with these instructions, and just taking it slowly, I achieved a really great result. All of the inner seams can be finished with an overlocker/serger, but that machine is not essential to make this adorable set. A regular sewing machine is just fine :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Liz's patterns are always really well written. I'm sorry I hadn't discovered her patterns when I was new to sewing, because she makes it very easy with in depth written instructions as well as diagrams. For this pattern, she has even made a video tutorial to help out those that may need it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
I know you're all here as part of the blog tour by Thread Faction. I was SO excited when Liz asked me to be a part of the fun! I've always wanted to participate in a blog tour :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAcQrZDkPExWacDw-YIkniUI-N02iHPpeg46_Tfokn32WF6i_LquA2DQ5LtqbgNBF2R0FnBZJnLi-ccq8rrl8s2O6mw7SsLutIUg7sTOHnKD5MX1_UsGP_DAiCq5m8DWbCV9MNNXrBvt4k/s1600/20180817_134003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAcQrZDkPExWacDw-YIkniUI-N02iHPpeg46_Tfokn32WF6i_LquA2DQ5LtqbgNBF2R0FnBZJnLi-ccq8rrl8s2O6mw7SsLutIUg7sTOHnKD5MX1_UsGP_DAiCq5m8DWbCV9MNNXrBvt4k/s320/20180817_134003.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had the privilege of testing for Liz before. She has excellent communication, and her patterns are always really easy to understand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
For this pattern, I wasn't a tester (as I'm EXTREMELY pregnant), so I don't have any photos of me wearing them. This is the second time I've attempted flat lays, and I'm hopeful you can all see how awesome these briefs are!<br />
<br />
They are a very fast sew. As in, an hour and a half from printing to completed project...including interruptions from my three cherubs. AND, I'm a slow sewist! This is a hobby for me, not a business, so I try to wring every minute of pleasure out of creating a new item, regardless of how long it takes. It is my 'alone' time, and recharges my batteries. Sewing is such a great creative outlet!<br />
<br />
The briefs come with FOUR different finishing options and all variations are thoroughly explained. You could make it with: lingerie elastic, fabric bands or two different styles of fold over elastic.<br />
<br />
This pattern is truly suited for a beginner sewist, as the instructions are so detailed.<br />
<br />
My absolute favourite step in this pattern is how to assemble to liner. I have made panties from several different designers, and this is the nicest way of constructing a pair of panties I've seen yet. Very tidy!<br />
<br />
I used my overlocker to tidy up the front seams, but I could have easily skipped this step if I didn't have one. Its hard to see in my photos, but the briefs have front seams, instead of side seams. I think this is ideal! Side seams tend to dig into my chubby bits, but the front seams don't. #winning<br />
<br />
Upon my Husband's suggestion (he makes the fabric choice for all of my creations - what would I do without him?!) I used Smoogie's Space Lace in cotton lycra. I also used 5/8" FOE sourced locally.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGOVa4IgwtRtAi26R0pA6q7_JLE9S89NyHTgc3yFZyM4Hzqeb9o4Zb5jWmYZ9jq02UAtckuF2m8pQJ_wRhPr5ucDful838WxH4Beor1ti4Bq2hniwyE5GeyHkkA5PQHJvtuD0ZvNTdMacR/s1600/20180817_134110.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGOVa4IgwtRtAi26R0pA6q7_JLE9S89NyHTgc3yFZyM4Hzqeb9o4Zb5jWmYZ9jq02UAtckuF2m8pQJ_wRhPr5ucDful838WxH4Beor1ti4Bq2hniwyE5GeyHkkA5PQHJvtuD0ZvNTdMacR/s320/20180817_134110.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my next pair, I'm going to use a different fabric selection for the front piece, as compared to the back, to highlight the panel. And, because I have a baby due in about 2 weeks, I'm going to get a head start on my Christmas sewing, and make a whole heap of these for my relatives. ;)</div>
